Default 96 Accord problem

I have a 96 accord 2 door coupe lx 2.2 liter 4. I have put intake and headers on it.. I have a question, whenever the car is in park, or drive, reverse etc. and I tap (lightly) the gas and quickly release, it idles ruff for a fraction of a second.. What could be the cause of this. Dirty fuel injectors?? any opinions appreciated, thanks

It sounds like the motor is just getting a bit too much fuel and is running rich for a minute. You might want to try new spark plugs and clean your air filter. Just a suggestion.

Thank you, I should also add, that the air filter is 1 week, old so that isnt it.. it is also an automatic transmission. the car has only 60 k miles on it.. I will try new plugs. can you recommend some good ones, that are available locally (Sacramento)

I would just say try and get some NGK R or some denso iridiums Personally I don't like platinum plugs so I would stay away from those, but some people like them.

When was the last time you did a tune-up? Plugs are the most obvious part. Consider wires, distributor cap and rotor as well.

I would also run a fuel system cleaner through. Recommend every 10th tank. Valvoline ($10 one), Techron, or Berryman's. Put a bottle in your tank when you fill up.
