I have 3 1997 accords #1 EX 312,000 I drive about 900 miles a week in this one Runs ok. Car #2 Ex 155,000 runs like a champ #3 LX 302,000 I personally put 185,00 on it. I think this one runs the best but I got t boned and It leaks air and water around the door so I parked it
My 94 5spd LX Accord just rolled 103,000 miles. Since i bought my first car, i like to upgrade my car often as i get a little more cash. I was wondering how much reasonbly longer i can hold on to this car, since there is nothing major wrong with it. My reasoning is that the more maintenace work i do on it, the harder it is to sell it and for example get a upgraded model accord. I have changed the CV joints, which usually go about 100k miles. I now have lifetime Alignment on my car and lifetime balance on my tires. The clutch still feels fine. If i have to change the timing belt, might as well i keep the car. Am I in a detrimental treat already to change the timing belt since it just gone over 100k miles?
How many miles are you guys getting out of your accord and it still be totally problem free?
I am OK with doing maintenance work on it, but just want it to still be reliable.
I now have 290k miles using dino oil changed every 3.5k miles, and towing trailers since 150k miles. This tread is inspirational to know how long I can expect to keep my Accord.

1-5-2018 -296,678 1992 accord. Just replacing clutch now. Everything else is still origional
My 02 sedan original motor and trans has 287 thousand and still runs like it’s new. Just gotta keep up on the regular maintenance and your set for life !
My 2002 Accord EX sedan, original motor and transmission, has 356K miles and counting. Runs and shifts and drives like new. Just change the oil every 3K miles and trans. every 30K miles, tune-up regularly and timing belt/water pump/valve adjust service when due. Only changed the radiator and thermostat and brakes and tires in addition to engine service.
I picked up this grey '91 Accord LX back in September from the original owner and got it running last month. It needed a lot of motor work, but nothing outrageous. It's got 383k on the original motor/trans! I got about 500 miles before the ICM gave out on me today.
Nov '17 the '95 EX original engine reached 340Kmiles.
Before there was a low level cold piston slap on cylinder four, finally became a very loud constant piston smack and excessive blow-by made keeping oil in the crankcase a bit of a challenge.

Strangely, the only seal that did not leak was the balance shaft seal.
2001 Accord LX F23 SOHC 5 speed manual....145,000 miles zero problems after services. Somewhere along the way I turbocharged it.
Couple thousand miles ago it was rehab'd , suspension , exhaust, engine, brakes. Mostly stock F23 SOHC , 650cc R/C injectors, Hondata, T3/04e ball bearing , Tial Wastegate .5 bar spring/ BOV / and boost control solenoid, Synchrotech H22 5 speed /carbon fiber sychros/ far off .685 5th, LSD, 4.64 final, Aquamist, NOS, etc, etc..
97 accord lx 4 cylinder 199,990 miles, will pass 200k when I drive home today.
Last year, spent $100 more to get a life time alignment from bridgestore, wish I purchased it in 1998. Now prepare to change the timing belt either this year or next year.
My 1997 special edition accord is all original..i have every service record from the first oil change..driven 10k in 13 years..currently has 88,000...mint..mint..bought it for $500.. 2008 civic has 179k and the silver 2012 civic has 87k..my 2002 civic has 169k

Nope..it sits outside..like i said..i have every oil change from the very first one..ive had 3 1997 and this one is nice..i drive the other honda's just to keep the milage down
