Car still overheats
Hi my girl owns a 92 LX accord and today she called me and said her car was overheating. I go to where she is parked and theres water leaking out of the bottum of the radiator. Well we went to napa to buy a replacement and i put it in. I mixed the 50/50 mixture using antifreze and hose water. Anyway the radiator doenst leak anymore but when she is in traffic and in a standstill it starts to raise the temp. The fan is working. Any ideas?? Thanks STan

The only thing I oculd think of that might be wrong is the water temp sensor. And thermostat should be working too.
I'd say check the water temp sensor(most likely) and thermostat(less likely)
Also, when you are parked open the hood.(leave a/c off) wait for the fan to come on. If it even comes on. Sometimes, the air from high speeds provide enough air to cool it.
Not sure if those are the right answer. Good luck. I hope some other people can help you. Google is your best friend.

did you bleed the system properally? Cus air in there will cause you to overheat too. Just make sure all the air is out of it

^^^what he means is when you changed the radiator and put the coolant in, did you squeeze the hose so you got all the air bubbles out. If you have any air in the whole systems it makes more bubbles and can make the needle rise.
