Help reading ABS, SRS, and D4 trouble codes
Hi, So I have jumped the service diagnostic cable under the glove (for a 95 honda accord EX) and the ABS light blinked 3 quick blinks with a pause in between... the first blink was about 2 sec, then pause, second blink was about 2 sec as well, then pause, then the 3rd blink was two seconds and then it went off (it doesn't repeat itself).
What is this trouble code? Is it code 1- ? If it is 1- do I just do the fix for the ABS pump motor over-run at this link below?
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-prelude-4/abs-code-1-fix-pics-2830570/
My second issue is the SRS light blinks 5 long blinks then two fast blinks immediately right after that (and just repeats itself). Is this a 5-2 code? If so, is it safe to confirm that their is an internal failure with the SRS unit?
Last but not least, my D4 light blinks 1 quick blink then pause, then 8 quick blinks then pause, then one long blink followed by four quick blinks. Are these codes 1, 8, and 14? If so, what do these codes mean? I couldnt find anything on diagnosing D4 trouble codes.
Thanks a bunch for your guys' help.

Re: Help reading ABS, SRS, and D4 trouble codes
So I pulled the battery for 10 mins and re-jumped the service check cable and the D4 blinking went away, but the SRS and ABS is still showing the same code. I drove the car around for a few mins, re-jumped the service check cable and the D4 blinking still went away.
Is it safe to assume that it was just a glitch? If it were a serious issue wouldn't the trouble code return?
Thanks for all the help.

Also my check engine light stays on (doesn't blink) whenever I jump the SCS connector. However, the CEL does not come on while i'm driving. It only comes on when jumping SCS connector.
What does this mean?
Thanks.

Have you checked the fluid level in the abs unit? Pull the B2...or is it B1 fuse to reset the abs. If the code come back, can't hurt to bleed the abs unit.....yes, different than bleeding the brakes.
Same with the SRS. Clear the code using the MES connector. Does the code come back?

Yeah the fluid level on the ABS is ok. I've pulled the ABS motor fuse and the code comes back. I've tried bleeding the ABS a few months back but nothing comes out the bleeder valve. So it makes me think something is wrong with the motor especially since the code is "pump motor over-run."
This link https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2830570 is saying to take apart the ABS motor and to take an emery cloth to smooth out the two bearings inside. What do you guys think?
As far as the SRS light goes, i've reset the light three times and the code still comes back as 5-2 (internal error with SRS module). Should I just replace the SRS module with a used one off ebay?

If you are not getting anything from the ABS unit when you try to bleed it.....yea something is up.....massive air or a leak somewhere. The over run is where the abs motor runs but does not get pressure in the system. You can do more testing or see about a used unit - I'm not a fan of replacing things without testing.

Re: Help reading ABS, SRS, and D4 trouble codes
What further tests can I do on the ABS?
I've taken the ABS relay out and jumped one of the connections to hear if the ABS motor makes that light churning sound, and it did. Does that mean the motor itself is fine?

Re: Help reading ABS, SRS, and D4 trouble codes
Do a search for a shop manual, there are some free ones you can download. I can't post a link.
In there you will see some additional tests you can do before replacing the unit.
