alot of people burnt out their piaa within a month of usage.

i personally like silverstar, but they too have burn out issue for some people.

so i ended up with hid's

TOSHIBA HIR 9011 and 9012 (Halogen Infrared Reflecting bulbs)

Can be had for $60/pair on eBay. The same guy has been selling them there for last several years. They are a best bang for your buck, if they fit your honda of course link: http://www.finemotoring.com/

PIAA's are alright. I've have the GT-X, the super whites, hyper whites, and so on. Light output is decent. But after sitting in a car with HID's, bulbs are completely worthless I personally perfer OEM, if they weren't so yellow

From my personal experience, stay away from Piaa, too expensive for a bulb that doesn't last very long. I just started getting into this new bulb from autozone by slyvania called xtravision and I have to say it's a great improvement over other bulbs. As for the Silverstars, they're aren't the real ones offered by Osram, the US versions are really just a coated bulb. I posted a pic in another bulb related thread in this forum, see if you can find it and you'll see the difference between the 2.

You can also go with a 9005 conversion which is a 9005 Highbeam bulb modified to fit your lowbeam. Gives a brighter appearence and slightly more light.

Also another good alternative is from http://www.Autolumination.com, I picked up a set of the yellow bulbs for $10 shipped and that was also a great improvement.

There is no doubt that the HIR are probably one of if not the best upgrade option but they are pricey at what? like almost $20 a pop, correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't actually looked at the price lately. I'm just giving options to ppl that just want to go to their nearest Autozone/Advance Auto whatever and take care of their issue right then and there.

OEM replacement bulb costs, what 8-9$ + tax? HIR's are 25 each now, still cheaper than some sylvania bulbs. If HIR's were available at autozone then everybody would be using them

I think you can get Philips HIR's for like $25 for a pair. The 9012 is replacment for the 9006 low beams correct. I think the 9011 are for the 9005 highbeams. Anyone cut the tabs to make them fit?
