hy guys, in need a litle help, i got a accord 96 ex coupe, came whit a f22b1 manual, the thing is the engine was old so i decide to change the engine to a h23a jdm blue top recently, came whit AT transmission and the PCF original ECU. the thing is that i put the new engine (h23a) whit my old transmission(f22b1 MT), im using the obd2b harness original who came whit the engine, got start the engine and sound awesome, the problem is that wont run more than 5.000 rpms, and runs like a limp, got a new iacv and a vss, and now runs a litle bit more, but no like suposed to, a friend told me to get the ecu of the accord euro r, (37820-pcd-004 ECU) who came in the h22A, and dont know if this ecu will run perfect or i need to get another ECU, or how can i use the original ecu AT pcf. please help.

well, an update, got the ECU PCD-014 of the JDM engine MT 98-02 Accord Euro r, and runs perfect, no problem at all whit anything, rev it at 7200 rpm, vtec kick in at 5.8k, but i dont know if the IAB's its working when vtec is activated, anyone got an answer?

As far as I know the Euro-R has a single runner intake manifold. Therefore the ECU would not have IAB control.

So, its up the vacuum, bcause, it is mechanic-electronic , maybe?

Yes. The IAB throttle plates are vacuum (mechanically) actuated using a solenoid (electronically) that is controlled buy the ECU.

There are people who operate the IAB mechanically hooking up the vacuum lines direct to the IAB actuator. Bypassing the electronic solenoid. Thing with doing it this way is that they will not open and close at the proper time in the RPM/power band. And then there are those who just disable/remove them and not worry about it.

Or you could get an ECU that can be tuned.

does the euro-r ecu have an immobilizer?
