GOT 5 CODES!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!
My 1999 accord lx gave me 5 codes after i noticed the CEL on and the car would shut off sometimes when coming to a stop. What do these codes mean? Thx!
P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold
p0700 automatic trans control system
P1166 air/fuel ratio sensor heater system electrical problem
P1167 heated oxygen sensor1(primary LAF H025) heater system malfunction
P1705 short in trans range switch circuit(more than 1 range position is on at the same time)
P.S. Is this worth saving?

These codes may not be relavent in trying to diagnose a stalling problem. Have you checked the electrical portion of the ignition switch? Wiggle the key with the car running. Roll the key slowly back. See if the engine turns off too soon..

Re: GOT 5 CODES!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!
dude, I hate to say it but ur screwed.
P0420-I've heard of metal particles destroying cats on closed throttle deceleration of that vintage. (can cause a stalling problem at a stop!)
P0700- u need a tranny, and a non reman might have the same problem.
P1166 & P1167 are for bank 1 sensor 1 (A/F ratio) if your lucky, they may be the cause of your cat code but dont bet on it.
P1705-If your lucky(again, dont bet on it) its just the switch, which will probably come with your replacement tranny. Just my 2 cents, best of luck...
