turning left with a little speed, car makes pop noise
hey guys. recently my 95 accord lx 5spd has been making a pop noise (like a hammer wacking the bottom of the frame) when im turning left with a little bit of speed. itll only pop once and wouldnt make any noise after that. itll also do it if i make a quick u-turn. it sounds like its coming from the passenger side of the car. i just changed the axle on that side today, so i know its not that, but what else could it be? lower ball joint, endlink, something in the steering? help!

well pops are kind of hard to describe and diagnose without being in the car..but you might want to check for a worn engine/tranny mount

update: when somebody is sitting in the passenger seat, the noise goes away. it's only when im driving by myself and turning left with speed or making a quick u turn that the pop happens.

possibly a bad bearing? do you know if your CV boot is ripped? This is my first guess, maybe someone with more experience than me can give you a better diagnosis.

yeah it sounds to me like an endlink but it could also be well worn ball joints.
*edit: if it is your end link it would be missing or missing the bushings. if its your ball joints it just means there is wayyyy to much play in them and you need to replace them asap before they let go while you're driving

i actually just changed the axel thinking that was the problem. if it was, it would be a constant popping noise during the turn, not just one.
took the car to the shop and they said its my eibachs contacting each other. im going to try and remedy something this weekend to see if i can get it to stop making the popping/thumping noise.
