G5 Accord w/J series Questions
Okay so I have a 1995 Accord v6 (c27) The automatic transmission went out. I have contacted someone that's done the swap & I could get the manual transmission from the Generation 1 Acura Legend. I have found plenty. I would need to figure out the flywheel, clutch, linkage, tranny mounts and whatnot...my engine has 195,000 and a tad bit of some rod knockage though...
I was also thinking about getting a J series engine and transmission from a selection of Honda/Acura from junkyards. Since my Accord has the longer front end...I think the hood may shut unlike most J swaps.
I narrowed it down to the choices of:
J30A4...find in...Honda Accord (03-05)
J32A2...find in...Acura CL Type S (01-03), Acura TL Type S (02-03)
The '03 CL- S LSD tranny.
Or I could get crazy and get a:
J35A3...find in...Acura RL (05-08), Saturn Vue L66 (04-07)
J35A4...find in...Honda Odyssey (02-04), Honda Pilot (03-04)
The '07 & '08 TL Type-S tranny.
I have heard most v6 engines honda made before 2003 were not the best. Bringing me to my next question. What all will I need to complete the swaps as far as electronics and whatnot? I have helped people do D & B swaps in old Civics. This FWD V6 stuff is a whole different ballgame though.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: G5 Accord w/J series Questions
I changed up my thread a bit. Been researching about everything. I don't think I have ever seen a J swap in an old v6 accord has been done yet. If anyone has seen it before and has a link, that would be the coolest thing ever.
I have decided to park this car for a while (seeing as it doesn't work...the cheapest fix-up route would be a new auto trans...not digging that) I want something unique. Until I have enough money to spare that I can spend on some sort of swap. Wheither its stay with C series or switching to J series. All information that could help would still be great. I do plan on fixing this car sometime, just wanna slowly gather parts and make sure I have everything first.
I am going to be getting a CB7 Accord soon. So then I will be dealing with the older 4-cyl game. Very excited about that.
