front upper control arm >> front upper ball joint
I think this would apply to all Accord's front suspensions, but specifically I'm asking about my '92 EX.
I want new upper ball joints.
This picture here:
from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com seems to imply that the upper ball joint isn't available separately from the UCA. I woulda thunk the UBJ was pressed-in like the LBJ. Anyways, does anyone know if I have to buy the whole UCA for $119.80 each or is there a way to remove the UBJ from the UCA and put new ball joints in?
THanks

I have a 95 EX and the upper ball joint is connected to upper control arm. WHen it goes bad , the whole arm has to be replaced. Maybe it's the same with your car??

Did you just need that bushing?
if so, then check here:
http://www.secureleadercom.com...e.asp
That's for 5th gen., but they should be the same, right?

Thanks for the replies. Actually I might as well get whole new UCAs since it includes new upper links and bushings as well as a new ball joint.
I'm gonna stick with new OEM bushings on the UCA and polyurethane on the LCA. (11 years and 145K hard miles on current BJs and bushings, I'm sure they're thrashed).

On my 96 EX when I put on my camber kit, which is an upper ball joint replacement i just hammered the old ones out. Not sure what it takes to put new OEM ones in, as the kit installed uniquely. I don't think you'd have to replace the entire UCA. Doesn't seem very efficient or cost effective.

Re: front upper control arm >> front upper ball joint (dcaccord)
Dave,
when you press the old ball joint out you change the shape of the hole it was in therefore ruining the UCA, it is more efficent to just replace the upper control arm
we are going by the junkyard soon to pick some up off some Accords, if they have a bunch we will pick up some extras fopr ya

Thanks for the offer Morgan. I've already begun working out a deal with http://www.evanshondaspecialist.com/ and a H-T dude parting out a 4th gen.
