Forced Induction F22a1 and F22a4
Ok guys, just recently purchased a 1990 Honda Accord, all stock except the pos short ram intake. It currently houses the a4 but also came with the a1 on a shipping pallet. Off the show room floor i know that the ex trim model produced somewhere around 125hp, given its been 22 years and 201,000 miles I'm guessing its dropped to around 100hp. Realistically im looking to produce 200-250 hp. Now my question for you would be, whats the best way to approach this build?

Check the condition of the engine before you do anything. Compression and/or leak down test.
If you are planning on doing a complete rebuild. Then do some research and com up with a reasonable set of goals and a budget. One that will include all pieces and parts along with tuning the engine. Tuning is key do not cheap out on it, or it will cost you more in the long run. Same with going cheap on any internals parts you buy. Cheap Ebay kits are generally not regarded as being reliable.

Re: Forced Induction F22a1 and F22a4
The intake is going to actually am going to use the intake from a 92 Prelude it is a F22B1 intake which does mount to the H22A1 head both the 4th generation F22B1 and the H22A1 are both DOHC but the H22 is a Vtec. My block is the F22A4 which my idea of the H22A1 head will compression down way to low so you turbo the F22A4 which then puts it at 550 hp and 310 pounds foot torque and then the F22B2 intake then allows the turbo to breathe better sorta speak which then is going to better proformance then after the dyno my stats should be close but if not always room for adjustments.

You can't Google other peoples dyno charts and assume that's what you will make with close mods. For instance a b20b on 7 lbs is only supposed to put out around 210 who and I put out 295. It all depends on the tune/Turbo kit/ supporting mods.

None of this info is really correct. The 92 Prelude didn't come with an F22B1. F22B1 is not a DOHC and it's intake will not mount to an H22. There was never a DOHC F22B1. However, there was a DOHC F22B in the Japanese Prelude it was non VTEC. The F22B2 intake will not bolt up to an H22 head. Also, the F22B2 intake will not breathe better nor will it give you better performance.
Where are you getting your information from?

Lol. Some dude I sold a part to that just got an Accord said "the F series has iron sleeves, I'm going to put a turbo on it and run 15psi". lol I guess some people have to learn the hard way.

Proper engine management as well tuning by far is the most important part to building a reliable setup force induction setup.
If your goals are much more aggressive building of the block with proper forged internals will be necessary to support the extreme cylinder pressures. As well as investing on the cylinder head/camshaft you can increase efficiency resulting in more power per pound of boost. Bisimoto has much experience in building both naturally aspired and force induction Honda engines which we can gladly help you with what ever power goal you have.
