f23 vtec swap in 90-93
My buddy has a 93 accord and im doing a vtec swap out of a 98 ex/f23a b/c he spun a bearing in the old enigne. I got looking at the engine and i did not see a oil pressure switch does that engine have one if so where?
Also has anyone on here done this swap can you let me know. It seems to be a easy swap it dropped right in and i just had to swap some parts from the other engine and now doing just alittle wiring..
O im also boosting it

I've done it, except i used a jdm f22b block and a f23a4 head off a 02 accord...
The oil pressure switch it's above the oil filter...
I'll try to post up some pictures tomorrow.

Re: f23 vtec swap in 90-93
here are some pics of my cb7...
-you got to use all the cb mounts, that also applies to the bracket on the block... i think only one hole out of the 3 doesn't line up.
I also had to relocate the fuel filter to the other side...
For the ac i used the cb bracket and compressor
cg alt and bracket
cd p/s pump, bracket and p/s hose...
hope that helps a little...

Re: f23 vtec swap in 90-93
I was lovin' all the civics that I had, but after my crxSI broke some forks in the tranny, I didn't get another honda cause of $$.
a few months ago, I bought this nice 93 accord. I let my nephew borrow it, and it stopped running on him. He tried to restart it, and then called me. I'm thinking it's the timing belt. He couldn't get it to start, after turning it over and over. if it's not the timing, hopefully it's the coil or fuel pump. I'm crossing my fingers.
Of course if it's the timing belt, it'd probably bent valves and all. We again tried to start it, and I didn't hear any piston and valves colliding. I just gotta spend some time there, troubleshooting.
But all in all, I am very familiar with the B series swap for civics, but here's my question. This stock F22b, I've heard that the H22 dohc will fit perfectly on that short block. If so, does that make a huge difference with hp? Oh, and does my 5 spd stock tranny bell fit the H22 motor, unlike the b/d series?
I don't drive it much, but since of bought her, I've been wanting to do some highP motor swap, if possible. I've heard the H22 drops right in. what's most cost effective? I'm likin' the boosted vtec idea

Re: f23 vtec swap in 90-93
Hey man! Great thread! Almost exactly what I have been looking for!
I have been looking for a 92-93 Accord to use as a winter daily driver. Since it's going to need to be reliable, I would like to swap in a newer engine and transmission. Would love to swap in an F23 (non-VTEC) if I can.
Anyway, is your car running already? If so, what did you do about the wiring harness and ECU? Are you using the original 93 engine harness? Are you using the F23 transmission?
Any tips you can offer is greatly appreciated.
