well due to some unfortunate events(balance shaft seal walked out) my engine let go. so i've started a new build and it is almost complete. my camshaft, new gear and rocker spacers will be in on Thursday, installed Friday and if a3ll goes well, tuned on Saturday.

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
I had a similar setup in my Accord a few years back. It wasn't ideal, but it worked well enough and made decent power for a stock F23 short block and F23 head. I'm sure your setup will meet your goals. Looking forward to an update!

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Awesome CB! Nice to see another promising thread over here on the Accord forum.

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Awesome! Really looking forward to see how you progress over what you currently have. How come you didn't stick with that modified Vibrant header?(still have it?)
If you're willing to donate me that VTEC head, I'll take it. ;) |
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
If you want it its for sale with the intake manifold. $150 plus shipping. It's a good cylinder head. It's off now, I took it to the machine shop and had it pressure tested. The engine only had 24k miles.

Awesome! I'll send you a PM. Saves me a trip to the junkyard and getting dirty.

I was waiting on parts yesterday and decided to wrinkle paint my valve cover.

I've been busy today. Hopefully dyno tomorrow.

Looking good! Best of luck on the dyno!

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Curious, how much did that 4-1 manifold cost you? They're stupid expensive, always interesting to see someone actually running one. The honestly look sweet, somewhat like a turbo ram horn.
|
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
You will have to fabricate it yourself, have someone fabricate one for you or pay the $800+ for the overrated F22 market brand. I'll be making my own 304SS 4-1 w/a Burns Stainless merge collector and megaphone for under $600. That's materials and consumables (welding filler and gas)
|
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
If you have the skills and the knowledge its definitly cheaper to build one. I got a really good deal on my bisimoto is why I got it. <$600 kind of good deal.
|
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
That's a Bisimoto header. Was it one of his mild steal prototypes that go up on sale every now and then?
|
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
No full stainless prototype.

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
That N/A scream is beautiful *explodes*.
What I would do to trade motors for a day. :p EDIT: The old build i mean |
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
I know its a Bisi header, there is some kid trying to sell one for online price ($1000) on CL right now. They are crazy cool looking for an NA exhaust component.
|
Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Well I got it running and the afr's adjusted. Its safe to drive but still needs some tuning to perfect the ignition maps and maybe dial the cam in a bit better.

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Street tune. I've got a LM-1 connected to my S300. Cruising is 14.5, WOT is 12.

76% humidity, 138deg IAT

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Congrats! Looks like you easily met your goal and then some. Did you have the opportunity to make some cam adjustments on the dyno? I'm curious why the Bisi level 2 cam regrinds don't carry torque higher than they do. What are the future plans for this?

Re: f22a/f23a hybrid CB7
Nice numbers!
That tq drop @ 5000rpm is quite surprising. None the less the numbers are good! |
