it comes form cf-4 torneo and cf-4 accords, both share the same chassis buit have body differences. sir has 180hp and are all auto sir-t are 200hp and are all manual.

The accord is more aggressivly styled with "angry" headlights ate.

mine is a accord cf-4. it responded very well to a good old i/h/e and a few other bits and peices!

after my h22 swap the f20 was very easy

just used lude obd 1 injectors and changed the plug on the alt to the obd 1 plug and that was about it

as you can see im not runnign an iac but it is hooked in to the ecu and works just fine .

as for the torgue, its not noticable much , in fact my f20b feels "livlier" then the h22 did but im sure thats the itbs helping .

sad but im selling these and going boost .

Chuckles,

Did they make an SiR-T coupe in Japan? Just wondering. Also, would the fenders, hood, and bumper from a CF4 bolt up to a CG3 (USDM Accord Coupe 98-02) Chassis? I think I saw a picture of it done once. Do you know where I could get them?

they had some CD accord coupes in Japan but never a CF or CL accord coupe, i dont know if the guards would bolt up but they would be close, japan also has the normal model accords like what you guys in the states have, they are pretty similar side by side.

Even in Japan the SiR-T is a rare car so second hand guards would be hard to come by. If you do buy some get CL-1 accord Euro-r guards, the CL-1 is the same shape as the sir-t but has a diffferent chassis code, the guards are wider look alot better IMO.

for those that are not aware there has never been a type-r accord as alot of people seem to think, only the euro-r which had a h22a-7 redtop 220hp motor (way better then the type-s motor) and a close ratio gearbox (the only h/f series close ratio box).

and that picture above only has SiR-T headlights not guards or anything.

That totally defeats the whole purpose of this thread.....and yes, they bolt in, it's already been established a million times that H series fit in Accords.

I have a h22 in a hatch back and i also have a f20b in a 95 accord there both fun to drive but i like the f20b better.I know what the numbers say but you just have to drive a car with a f20b in it to know what it feels like.I'll probably end up with the f20b head on the h22 bottom end with a set of type s pistons that should be good set up.Back to the post the swap was easy did it in a week end i have ac and power steering if you have any questions email me ill be glad to help.

Jones,
How high does an F20B rev? Most jdm engine sites say that it revs the same as the H22, but i know it's got to rev higher because of the Type S cams and the fact that it's smaller displacement, so it has to rev higher to get peak hp. I will be getting one in my car as soon as I can afford it. I'm not a racer, so I don't mind if the numbers say its' not as fast because of torque. I want something that's fun to drive. My F23 is a little disappointing. The only way to get some more power outta it is to turbo it, and then it won't last very long because it's too hard on the internals. I just want a nice engine to get some NA power out of that is going to last me the next couple years. The only thing I used to be worried about is finding bolt on parts for the F20B, but now I know that all the headers and etc they make for the H22A fit it. How fast is your H22A Hatch?

The F20B puts out about the same numbers as a K20A doesn't it? So in theory, an accord with an F20B would be about as fast as an RSX Type S if they had the same gears since they are practically the same weight....

i dont know abuot USDM motors but the JDM k20a makes 220hp the f20b makes 200hp

rev limit is set to 7800rpm factory, but it makes power beyond this unfortunatly the ECU holds it back

I just found this site.... it says the F20B revs to 8200 and hits 215hp at 8000 and peak torque at 7500....is this not true? it looks like a pretty legit JDM engine site. http://www.jazzproparts.com/Pr...Specs

like i said the factory rev limit of the f20b is 7800rpm, at this rpm it only makes 200hp, hence factory its rated to 200hp.

And it DOES make powre beyond this RPM but it is impossible to make the factory ecu allow the engine to rev higher as its OBDII-B

Im a mechanic and ive worked for a hodna dealer/workeshop here in New Zealand so i have access to real Honda info, nothing is more acurate, plus i own a real JDM accord sir-t which has the f20b factory!

ive seen them make 215hp at the wheels! with cams and bolt ons! thants insane considering they make about 165 at the wheels standard.

Wow, some good info here, thanks guys. I was thinking of H22 or F20b swap (1995 Accord Ex F22B1) .... and im about to jus spend money on my F22B1 (headers, cat, catback, complete pulleys, vtec controller, fuel rail.) because i didnt think the swaps were practical. I cant do the work myself (lack of resources) but i talked to a shop thats famous for the swaps in my accord here in Orlando FL, names Allversion, and they quoted me $4,200 est. thats with motor and labor... not counting the manual swap i need. ..... Thats a little more than i was looking to spend.

So im not sure what to do as of now, i would LOVE and F20b, but becuase of moeny they seem to impractical. I also was under the assumption that the f20 required a different shift linkage than the H22 and also motor mounts.

Would something like this be practical...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

And it comes with the auto tranny, If i were to purchase something along thoes lines, what should i expect to pay in labor??

thank you all so much in advance.

As for that engine....I wouldn't trust them. First off, it comes out of an Accord SiR-T, not a Euro R like it states. The Euro R had an H22A7. Also, it claims to have 200hp, but that's not true because the Automatic F20b engines were from the SiR Accord or Torneo which are only 180hp, not 200hp. (The SiR-T was the manual tranny, the only one with 200hp) Anyways, the ebayer should have done his homework or maybe he is just false advertising for people who don't know much about Jdm Accords. I wouldn't trust him. You will be dissappointed if you get that engine and it's only 180hp. You might as well boost your F22B, and you'll get way more than that at the wheels. That engine would be like swapping in a GSR motor from an integra. Hope this helps.
