Dear Experts,

I have a 1996 Honda Accord, EX
2.2 VTEC
278K miles

The door locks are electric.

Before, when I turned the key in the driver's door keyhole/lock
all locks in the car, locked, simultaneously.

The past year or so, the driver's door would lock.
And then the other locks followed a second or two later.

Yesterday, the driver's door locked mechanically.
But none of the other locks, locked.

If I lock from the passenger door, all locks, will lock, electrically.


So, it seems something electrical has worn out in the driver's side door.


The question is, which component could it be?

I should add.

The door lock button, beside the door handle,
opens or locks all doors

Any ideas which component is the culprit?
