ECU diff in 94-95 96-97 accord ex's?
I have a question...I have a 90 Honda Accord and I'm putting in a F22b1 out of a 94-97 Accord and I still need to get an ECU for it and i don't know if I need to get a 94-95 EX 5 Speed ECU or a 96-97 EX 5 Speed ECU. We're pretty sure the engine is from a 97 accord, and we have a deal right now for an ECU from a 94 Accord for about 15 bux, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

If your are sure the engine is from a '97 Accord - this is an OBDII engine. The '94 Accord ECU is OBDI - you will need to get a conversion harness if you want the '94 ECU to work correctly.

Yes.
And v4lu3s is right. As long as you use your STOCK wiring harness and obd1 distributor, it will all work.

I have another question.
I have done some research on this forum and some other forums. I have found out that the 94-95 accord ex P0A ECU is non VTEC. If I was to get the conversion harness and install it on my 96 accord ex vtec, would that have any effect? meaning would that do anything to my vtec or just plain 'ol disable it since the ecu has no function to control the vtec?
My questions might be a bit dumb but I really don't know anything about ECU so please help me understand. Thanks guys.

Look at the ECU is the foolproof way
I was caught out by this as well, mine is a '96 yet is OBD1
