Default Eaton m62 supercharged 97 accord rebuild

Long story short we have a slowly blowing head gasket. What was going to be a short fix, ended up being a home port and polish, valve lapping and cleaning, urethane stiffen mounts. I will continue to upload pictures as I finish up.

Updated pictures from this morning of lower plenum, blower mounting, belt routing, exhaust setup. Exhaust is 2.5 stainless with 3 resonators (2 vibrant, 1 magnaflow). The rear foot is 3 inch due to that being the only leftover resonator and perfect turn down. Almost every part on this car is from my local "crazy rays" salvage yard.

I did pick up a gen 3 m90 from a grand prix gtp a few weeks ago. I already made the stencil for the mounting bracket and inlet piping. We will see how much power I can squeeze out of the m62 and the stock internals. I can get engines all day, so seeing which pops first isn't much of an issue.

Finally got the head assembled today. This 3m window weld needs to set overnight in engine mounts. Will resume assembly of car in the morning.

Finally got around to a little more work on the old turd. The 3m window weld took an entire week to dry on the four mounts. Head is cleaned and assembled, and is now on and torqued. As you can see by the wife's snow covered CTS-V, I had a snow delay. As of today weather is clear. Off to go get some longer oil pan bolts. I dropped off the smaller pulley at the machine shop to be modified so I can press on the spline. I can pick it up next week on the super cheap. Current pulley ratio is stock 6.75 or 7 inch crankshaft pulley and a 3.625" blower pulley. New pulley is 2.75 and will exceed blower speed specs by 250rpms at 16250rpms . My intake temps are very low, so I shouldn't encounter heat issues. Beating failure is a different story, and more than accepted if so. I will be actively working on making everything for the m90 blower, just in case.

Highkey subbed! I'm also excited to see what pops first. The motor, or the tires for the ridiculous amount of power my 17 year old brain imagines that this setup would make.

The car has been running supercharged for the better part of the year. The first motor went due to broken timing belt and me wanting to upgrade to f23. My wife wouldn't allow me to swap until old engine blew. Tow truck ensued 3 weeks later lol. I just got it running again today after 2 long weeks. Idles nicely, and makes a tad more boost I think. I did a short 2nd gear pull and thought I saw 8 or 9psi when I glanced down. Follow me on I.G @builtbyglenn . I can't figure out how to get videos to upload to here as of yet. I posted the first start video on Instagram today. I also have a video of me in Mexico showing that the tires have no chance in hell. Should make around 225whp or so. The torque curve is what is nice. Full boost at 2500rpms on at an instant.

Back together. As you can tell, I could care less of how it looks. The car is a junkyard build after all. There is so little room to work up front. I had to use a 97 or so civic half radiator due to the blower being all in the way of everything. The car definitely feels much smoother and powerful when WOT. The power feels more linear. As I type this I realize I didn't even activate vtec in the controller.... I attempted a vtec killer setup before teardown and hated the low end power loss. I had to add 4% fuel across the board as well (badass)

I meant to add in the beginning. This is the worlds first/only non jrsc h22 supercharged accord that I can find anywhere.

small pull through 1st and 2nd from 20 roll. Long gear f22 trans. Something doesn't feel 100% in this pull. I have vtec at 3200rpms, but think the car likes 2600rpm crossover way more. Will do flyby cruise and pull video tomorrow. The blower whine is unimaginably loud, same with the blow off valve when cruising

prior to port and polish head, intake manifold, and blower. What a difference in immediate response and power delivery.

First and second videos are when the car was non intercooled. Also the car was on stock tune and injectors with vortech FMU at 12:1 first and 10:1 second. next videos the car is intercooled with greddy 16 row front mount, rc 440cc injectors, apexi afc neo. The last video the car has ported blower, mildly ported head, gutted f23 intake manifold, h22a4 prelude throttle body with port matched plenum, port matched f22b1 ex 4-2-1 cast manifold.

Those are pretty damn nice numbers. Quite a bit of torque too. Whats your power/torque goal or maybe are you looking for a certain time on the track?

Thank you, but I don't trust the torque pro numbers. I do see that all motor it said 140hp, and original blower setup 195hp. It does keep going up. I want to just keep daily driving it, and keep raising power until it pops. I will be taking it to maryland international raceway or capitol soon though (my local tracks). I would be super happy to dip into the 13's. It all started as my brother in law saying it couldn't be done. When i started poking around the internet, i saw ZERO supercharged accords like this. It had to be done in my mind. Here we are now a year later and I have grown such an attachment to the car. The reactions I get while driving are priceless. Even corvette zr-1 guys give an O-face to the sound lol

Yeah man I've got my fingers crossed for a 13s pass. And anything can be done if you put your mind to it I'm happy to hear about those vette owners too. makes me smile.

Hells yes. I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps, so the "You can't do that" challenge is always real. Put about 250 miles on the car since the rebuild. The car idles smoothly, yet required an additional 5% fuel across the board low and high throttle settings on the afc. Even at idle. I haven't had time to boost leak check, but it for sure it makes more power at less boost (more top end flow). Did a 45 roll on yesterday and went to top of 3rd and was very happy with the extra breathing room up top.

I came across some of my old pictures from the build. Look at how it all started... non intercooled, top mounted goodness lol. Then clutter quietness. Now ridiculously loud rocket ship lol.

Thank you. That is the plan. There never was a large go fast 5th gen accord community. The platform is plenty capable to be a street destroyer.
