Drive 4 Light Flashing and Speedometer and odometer not working 1995 ACCORD
It was random, but while driving the indicator for what gear I am in, began flashing and my odometer and speedometer stopped working. Is there any easy inexpensive fix for this ? A mechanic quoted me $300, is that a realistic estimate ? Can I get a replacement from a junk yard cheaply and possibly do it myself as an unexperienced person. If you have this part or any suggestions please e-mail me at anolimit98@aol.com

Re: Drive 4 Light Flashing and Speedometer and odometer not working 1995 ACCORD (ac23)
The speed sensor is failing. You need the electrical portion only, not the part with the p/s valve in it. It's about 75 bucks new, and fairly easy to install. A used one might be cheaper, but could also be bad, being that this is a common problem in Accords. It's located on the backside of the tranny, above the area where the axles go into the differential. It has a 3 wire connector, and one long, shouldered bolt to hold it in (10mm head). Gravy job, you can do it yourself. If you can't figure it out, let us know https://honda-tech.com/forums/images.../h-emblem4.gif
