diy black housing headlight just did it myself
 

1 set in oven at 220 degrees from 8-10 mins check every few mins to make sure it isnt melting
2 pull out around 5 mins take a screwdriver and pry towards the point end of the lens
3 set back in let the glue heat back up pull out and work the lens until it comes off (start at the end with the point)
4 once apart start taping the peices you dont want painted so you can actually still see at night ( picture will show this step)
5 take surface cleaner and throughly clean area where you want painted
6 use primer/sealer using 3 coats with 2 minute flash times between each coat
7 start spraying your paint ( i picked high gloss black dupilcolor paint) use 3 coats with same flash time as sealer first coat spray very lightly just to get a base then the last to kinda medium to get it covered
8 let the housing sit for 24 hours for best quality
9 peel tape at steep angles and very slowly to ensure the paint from lifting
10 use surface cleaner again to clean the chrome pieces left for the lights to work
11 put assembly back together by puting lens where its supposed to be bake in oven again at 220 for 5-8 mins taking out around 4 mins and pressing lens back into housing and again at 8 mins, use automotive goop which can be found at advance auto or auto zone to seal the lens and make water tight

Not bad at all brotha, not bad... I tried doin it myself a few years ago. didnt turn out to great, lol. But I didnt have as much knowledge then as I do now on the subject..

hopefully they'll add it to FAQ

i traded my accord for a bagged and body dropped sport truck magazine feature truck its a 94 toyota hilux i could put up pics of the accord if any one wanted one

these are a friend in his show car its shaved up with hydrolyics (sp??) but il post b4 and after pics in about a week

i did the ones in my 99 civic and they came out great and saved me 100 some dollars but i hope this helps anyone cause i know the one in the faq wasnt much help to me it was mostly wrong bout the temp and time

I did this on my car... and they turned out pretty good... I jus wish that I could get rid of the fogginess... and Im too scared to wet sand em...

its not bad at all you have to sand lightly with 1500 then go and sand again with 2000 grit then buff back out i did it on these

Those came out good. I plan on doing my headlights once I get a spare set.
