Ok, so, i have a '96 LX that's 100% stock. As I'm driving, if i let up off the gas the car groans, it'll stop after the rpms get below 2500. This didn't worry me too much, it's done it since Jan. '07 when i got the car. Recently, however, the car will start groaning when the rpms reach 3200 or above. I drive 80+ miles a day commuting, and on 495 to lowell and the traffic tends to move quickly (75-85mph) so the rpms are pretty constant, except for the occasional..."OMG LET'S ALL SLAM ON OUR BRAKES"...business. The gas pedal also vibrates when the groaning occurs, if i let up off the gas it'll stop, even if the rpms only drop like 100rpms. So my question is, what do you think this noise is, and how can i fix it?
