D4 light replacement

The D4 light on the dash of my 1993 Accord EX is out. Has anyone replaced that? There are videos online for getting the bezel and the cluster off, but they don't show any detail on how you get the vents and switches off without breaking them: where exactly are the tabs and where do I pry?

Also, I hear that the D4 light is not one of the big lights in the back: it is inside on a circuit card. Anyone know how to get into there?
Thanks.

Re: D4 light replacement

If its anything like my 96 accord its a pain in the butt. The switches should have a notch under the actual switch to pop them out with a flathead and disconnect them and you dont have to worry about vents. The vent covers comes off when you pop the bezel out. Its all one piece. Then once your in there you have to take out 4 screws that hold the insterment cluster out and you have to take that insterment cluster apart very carefully. The bulbs for the shifter are some weird bulbs that I ended up going to the junk yard to get. Dont lose any of the screws because they affect the gauges being able to work.

Here is a more in depth look at how to accomplish what your trying to do. That looks exactly like my car, but is says 94-97 so hopefully this helps you.
