Default creaking suspension on a '96 LX sedan

I drive a '96 Accord LX sedan, and have been experiencing suspension creaks. My first instinct was that my shocks were blown (stock shocks/springs), but upon doing a simple "bounce each corner of the car" test, I found that only my left rear shock is blown. My suspension creaks pretty loudly, mostly when im going over speed bumps or other large bumps at low speeds. At first it was only the rear suspension, but pretty soon it was the front, too. What could be the problem?

dry weather will wear out your suspension bushings often times. i live in central oregon and on a dirt road so mine are drying out also. what i would reccomend doing is just going to a local suspension shop, or tire shop or whatever you have and ask them about a full poly urethane bushing kit, should only cost about 150 for the kit but expect another 250 or so for the labor.

i'm not so sure about that, because i live in north carolina, where not only is it often rainy, but also extremely humid throughout the year. i doubt dryness is the problem, although it is possible.

I have a 97 DX and I'm starting to experience a similar problem. Your bushings probably need to be replaced. If your car is lowered and you've got camber kits check to see if they're dried out and need litheum grease.

i'm about to change out my struts

I have the same creak sound you do whenever i go over speed bumps, potholes, etc

I will try these bushings in about a week when I install the new struts
