Default 99 f23 overheating

so i bought this car a few weeks ago and ever since then its been overheating and i cant figure out why. i replaced the radiator thinking that was it and it wasent....i removed the thermostat thinking that would help but it didnt. i checked my oil and its fine so it cant be a blown head gasket....i'm currently working on replacing my water pump but anyone else have anymore ideas?

if your water pump checks out, guess what? if your fans are working, you got a blown head gasket and the exhaust is leaking into the coolant.

you can buy a kit to check the head gasket from local auto parts or take it to a good local radiator shop and have em check it.
pay close attn to the plastic recovery tank, lots of times the engine compression will build up and overcome the radiator cap presssure and force the collant into the recovery tank tell it gets low then it over heats, i had a 93 that did that and the radiator shop put a sealant in it, never had much faith in it but it worked and it ran without over heating for 90000 miles tell i finally got rid of it, course the correct way is replace the head gasket if thats the fault. if the radiator and fans are running , and radiator is good there is nothing else i can think of to cause this

are you losing any coolant ? is the first question.
n how many miles on the car ...

you say you "removed" thermostat ?? or replaced it??

if u are losing coolant with replacing radiator , check all ur connections on the hoses u dealt with , i would take a rather close look at your upper radiator hose that goes into a STUPID PLASTIC housing. its common to leak if over heated.

if u replace water pump you have to do the timing so if that hasnt been done you should do that to. 65$ for the 2 belts online over at majestic.
