Climate control system is making loud nosie (A/C)
My climate control system is making a loud screaming nosie. Climate control sytem volume doesn't work on 1-2-3. System only works at 4. Anyone have advice in what the problem could be ?

The HVAC system in a car has a fan, called a blower motor, located under the front passenger foot panel. what you are observing is consistent with both the blower motor and the blower motor resistor being bad. It is fairly easy to do but the access to some of the bolts is pretty awkward - you have to push the seat al the way back and lie on your back on the floor facing up under the dash - not comfortable but that's what you have to do. Search on YouTube and you can find videos how to replace them both. If you are really strapped for cash you can go to a junkyard and pull them yourself and most likely save a lot of money, and get some practice taking them out. Some junkyards offer a 30 day warranty so if the parts don't work you can take them back.
