Changed ball joints and stab links, now brake issue

Like the title says, I did lower ball joints, upper control arm, and stab links today, as well as alignment. Everything went together fine. Now, I get ready to get in my car after work and the brake light is on, with the pedal going to the floor. Still stops, but not with much confidence...

Check and see if it has fluid? If the pedal goes to the floor and the brake light is on, it's making it sound like you busted a brake line. The light will come on from low fluid, and that will also cause the pedal to the floor feel. The only odd part is that it will stop.

If that's not it, you need to scan it for the codes.

Somehow i doubt emissions codes will trigger from brakes.

Go look at the brakes on the corners you worked on. Look for visibly wrong things. Leaks etc. Check brake fluid level. Bleed brakes as needed....

Had a friend look it over with me at work. It's definitely leaking brake fluid by the rear passenger side. When I hit the brake pedal, it's sounding like an air leak from that area too. It was late, so I just left it at work and drove a new truck home. Will look into it more tomorrow.

ABS computer will throw codes too, 2002 is new enough for that.

Sounds like you moved a brake line and it sprung a leak. It's better that happened while the car wasn't moving than if you were driving down the road and it started leaking.

Ended up being a bad wheel cylinder. Replaced it and a brake line. All good now.
