I was recently in a minor accident with my 1994 Honda Accord ex coupe. My front passenger wheel took most of the impact and the car wasn’t drivable afterwards as the wheel was facing a bit inwards. Initially replaced the cv axle,inner and outer tie rod end,but that did nothing. Took it to a suspension specialist and it turned out that what needed to be replaced was the crossmember,lower control arm,knuckle,and the rack and pinion. I was quoted 1700 for this so I ended up getting the parts off an accord from the junkyard. A little over 200 for the parts from there. It was a long process,but it was done. I replaced the crossmember,rack and pinion,and the passenger side lower control arm,and knuckle. Both wheels now face forward. Now,I tried moving the car forward and it moves a little bit before it completely stops and just revs as if it’s in neutral. The amount that it is able to move doesn’t move easily,it moves very harshly and has to rev high. Same thing in reverse. Could it be something with the transmission? I did have to disconnect the shifter cable in order to drop the crossmember,but I’m pretty sure I put it back correctly. Did I not tighten down a bolt or what?? I’m very frustrated as I was prepared to take the car for an alignment. Please help. I’m already frustrated as it is because how long this has taken.
