So my check engine light came on and got my car diagnosed..The following codes came up: p1738 & p1739..Does this mean i have to fix my transmission or do i have to replace the transmission computer?? Any suggestions??

They are for the 2nd (P1738) & 3rd (P1739) clutch pressure switch circuit. These codes usually are generated when the switches or their connecting wiring goes bad. They are not hard to replace if your mechanically inclined. I think they are only a dealer part - around $60. Is your transmission shifting correctly?

Hey yea my transmission seems to be shifting alright..maybe a little bit of slippage every now and then..I took it to Aamco and they told me that i needed to replace the transmission computer. I think they were trying to rip me off...I am under their warranty however they refused to fix my transmission since they said it's computer related. I called Honda and asked them about the switches. They said they are $85 bucks for each 1. Do you think I should just replace the switches??

My car is coding the 3rd clutch pressure switch right now. Originally I had the code for the 2nd pressure switch, so I swapped it with the 3rd pressure switch to see if it was indeed a hard fault with the switch. Obviously it was. I think you can do better on the price from an online Honda dealer. South Bay Honda has them for $45.13. Try this link:

When you put your vehicle information in the website, look under the header "AT Sensor-Solenoid". For the V6 B7XA transmission it's item 15. I hope this helps.
