A/C compressor installed dry, how do i add oil??
Hi I have a 1996 Honda Accord EX v6 2.7 liter and My ac compressor was installed dry (no oil). I'm taking my car to another mechanic to get the drier and condenser installed, and I will have him vacuum out/evacuate/check for leaks/recharge the system. My question is, since my compressor was installed dry, how do I put the necssary 4 oz oil in it with it already on the car? Do I need to pour the oil in by removing the compressor, or will the PAG oil I add to the low line of the ac system work its way to the compressor and go where it needs to go?
Also, if the compressor calls for PAG 46 (low viscosity) oil, will PAG 100 (medium viscosity) be bad for it?
