Body Control Module for 2002 Honda Accord
Having some strange issues with my door locks and alarm system - randomly locking and unlocking themselves on all the doors. I'm suspecting the BCM or Body Control Module.
I need some more information (or sources of information) concerning location and troubleshooting of this BCM.
TIA for your help on this issue.. bought1@mac.com

Re: Body Control Module for 2002 Honda Accord
No disrespect intended, but I can't help but wonder if you don't have a keyless remove stuck under the seat or carpet somewhere that you are sitting/stepping on randomly and that's the cause. Otherwise, if it was me, and I couldn't find any good YouTube videos on how to figure it out, I would probably pay for a subscription to alldatadiy.com and get the exact info on the location and any troubleshooting tips there. It costs $30/yr for the first vehicle and it is essentially the shop manual on-line for your exact car. Testing/troubleshooting a BCM is extra tricky, I think, because you can easily cause it to go bad, if it isn't to begin with, if you aren't perfectly careful in your troubleshooting because if you short something, or overload a circuit, you can fry things unintentionally. I am not an expert but that is something I would be concerned about. It also might be a ground wire problem which may require buying some troubleshooting equipment to find yourself.
