Default replacing alternator.....what could go wrong....RUST

well i had the annoying dash lights coming on ever time i slowed down on my 99 accord v6,so after reading various posts on replacing the alternator i figured "no problem".........right!
i am in canada where cars aren't like those seen on shadetree mechanic,we have this thing called rust due to the salt used on the roads in the winter.
so anyway,to remove the rad fan sounds easy, the 2 top bolts come right out but the bottom was rusted and when turned it managed to turn the rear nut as well.the word to use here starts with f and sounds like truck.
with some swearing and time however,it is possible to get it out with force after removing the p.s. reservoir for more room.
this might be easy to fix if on a lift but on the floor or jack it can be quite a pain in the ***.
by the way,for those in canada who might be replacing their alternator, after calling every parts place in town i found that napa has the best deal.$206 with LIFETIME warranty and 5 yr 24/7 roadside assistance.
now being that the 98-02 were known for crappy alternators i opted for the lifetime warranty.
