Default my honda accord is overheating!! help

Ok so heres what happened i was driving and smelled something funny looked down at my gauges and saw that my car was all the way past H. overheating and smoking. so i pulled over immediately. coolant was everywhere and my upper hose was busted. i took it to my mechanic to get it overhauled
he changed the head gasket, the valve cover gasket, thermostat, radiator cap, i got the radiator flushed, changed the upper hose and the heater hose which both had tears.
car is still running hot. i have no idea why. please help.
the radiator fans are working.

its a 98 honda accord ex 2.3 4 cyl.

Assuming your mechanic did proper work you might have air pockets in your system. Bleed your cooltant and you should be fine

actually i had that heater hose still to replace, if its not the exact size (length) and shape of the original one would that make a difference?
and my friend bled the coolant right in front of me. is there a special way to do it

Only if it was smaller. The heater hose directs heat out of the engine, but I doubt thats the cause. Heres what to check
1. Fans are working correctly.
2. Thermostat is opening, check the lower hose to make sure its as hot as the lower hose after its been running to make sure
3. Water pump is faulty
4. Inproper installtion of head gasket causing coolant leak.
5. low coolant. check level.
6. bleed coolant through bleeder valve located on thermostat. (has a small pin sized hole in it)
