ATF drain and refill, now CEL...
hey, i just drained and refilled my dad's 2000 accord V6 's aut tranny fluid and now the check engine light is on, the D4 light is blinking and when put into D4 it feels like it has no power... i drained it, and filled it back up with ~3qts of Honda ATF
anyone know of anything that will cause this, i need help quick
thanks
also, when it is put into D4 it doesnt roll (when i let off theb rakes) i need to gas it, and it doesnt feel like it has much power..

Re: ATF drain and refill, now CEL... (APEX i GSR)
i filled it back up with ~3st of honda atf
i filled it up thru the bolt on top of the tranny that says "ATF" on top of it..
one thing i forgot to note, was when i was removing that i heard a "blow off" type sound.. i dont know what it was, sounded like something release pressure...

Re: ATF drain and refill, now CEL... (CIVICtypeS)
codes are
41 - Primary O2 Heater
65 - Secondary O2 Heater
70 - Auto Trans
20 - Electrical Load Detector
code on the blinking D4 light is
08
i dont know what the code 8 for the trans is
but i'm thinking this has to do with the code 20 electrical load detector..
anyone?

Re: ATF drain and refill, now CEL... (Ideal)
i'm going down to the honda dealer tomorrow after work, one of my former teachers works there, so i'm going to have him take a look. it'll drive, but doesnt have power in D4 and D3 from a stop, everything else is fine. It will go fine when starting in 1
