annual millage service question (7500 etc)

I own 2003 honda accord lx i4 and currently have 52000(yes i know i dive allot)

My question, the only thing i do regular on this car is change oil and do tired rotation, some people tell me its immportant to do the anual service 7500 millage, etc. Do you suggest i do this, or doing oil change and having brakes check regular enough to keep car running fine?

How about a couple suggestions (right out of the owners manual)...

Change the air filters every 30k miles. There's one for engine, one for cabin air.

Inspect the drive belt, tensioner, & idler pulleys. You don't want that to come apart on you.

How about suspension alignment? It's not scheduled in the manual, but at 50k miles it's not a bad idea. But if your factory tires are still OK, your alignment must be OK.

You got a timing chain, not a belt, so that's not a normal maintenance thing.
Not supposed to need spark plugs or valve adjustment until 110k miles.
Not supposed to need tranny fluid change until 120k miles.

You're getting your brakes inspected some times? Good, so worn-out brakes aren't gonna sneak up on you without warning.

I like to change anti-freeze & brake/clutch fluid every couple years, even though Honda says they last longer. Brake fluid absorbs moisture & that makes it corrosive.

edit... Yeah, briq4's right, we've got a 5-speed so I was just looking at my personal list without thinking. If you have an automatic, your book probably says more often. Even then, it's not a bad idea to go more often. If you have an automatic, get genuine Honda ATF. It seems to matter.

IGNORE the tranny change interval. Honda transmissions are known to be the weakest link. I say change the fluid every other oil change. My Buddy has an 04 with 26K on it and just had the fluid changed, the shift quality has changed dramatically. I would say change it more often if you are hard on the car.
