Default Accord manual to auto

Why auto?

That's probably your first question. The reason is because I have a smashed 96 accord ex with auto transmission and a 95 manual accord shell.

I looked pretty briefly but didn't find any information in regards going from manual to auto, but a ton on going from auto to manual.

I mean, this should be possible right? And simple? All I would have to do is swap over the engine, transmission, auto shifter, and ecu right?

Any replys would be helpful thanks!

You will have to drill the AT bolt hole location(if not already done) on the MT shell for the transmission mount. With AT to MT conversions the frame bracket has a dimple where the MT mount needs to be drilled. Look at both shells to note the difference in the transmission mount through bolt hole location.

Use the complete engine harness from the '96 car in the '95. OBDII will have a few differences from OBDI even if the engines were both VTEC or non-VTEC. And the AT harness will have a few more plugs/wires for the NM, NC, shift, and lockup solenoids.

Label everything, take photos with notes.
