I just purchased this 1993 accord, the abs warning light was on, i took it to a mechanic who stated i need a pump motor asm. he told me i hand to take it to a honda dealer for repair. i heard this is a 1000$ job. I checked some salvage yards, and found a pump for 150$. would this be a viable option? and what would labor be to replace the pump?

most likely you are going to get some one else's problem what did it code for pump over run ? the time to repair the modulator and bleed system is about 2.5 hours is what we charge.
the reason they told you to take it to the dealer is we use a abs tester and it will cycle the system and purge the system of air in stages,i don't think their is any aftermarket tools that do that for your year.
