ABS Noise after new Timing Belt

Hello everyone.

Picked up 99 Accord V6 with 90,000 miles. Car is in good shape and I want to keep it so I decided to get timing belt / water pump changed.

Well just got the car back. Car seems to run fine, except its snowy today and when I apply the brakes and when the ABS comes on, I hear a LOUD sound, almost like a horn from the 1940s car (along with the vibration in peddle.)

Mechanic took her for a drive, tells me its ABS working. Yes I know its working, I can feel the vibrations in the peddle too. But I know that noise is abnormal, as in the two weeks I had the car, I did manage to have ABS come on, but there was no horn like sound.

Now I am wondering, what my mechanic did to my car. I know this sound didn't exist before.

Can you guys help? Thanks.

maybe its just the abs modulator pump kicking in....could be normal...is the abs light on?

Pilot - Nope the ABS light is not on. Like I said peddle vibrates, so I am guessing the car is trying not to lock the wheels. Only happens on snow.

But the sound is ceritainly funny and real loud. You would think, the car behind you is honking.

So for now, I'll keep driving the way it is, untill the light goes on, or I sense touble with breaking.

Thanks for your help Pilot. I was hoping for a response like yours.
