ABS Code 81-1
On this '99 with 250k the ABS light is working but is not on. A few weeks ago it threw a 11-1 code so I replaced the front right sensor. The old sensor tested fine along with the replacement. Now I've got 81-1 control unit failure but no ABS light. If the sensor was the problem would the system turn back on without having the codes cleared at a dealer? The ABS pump is not running when the engine is started.
