I spent all day troubleshooting my 92 Accord. Turns out the ECT is not getting voltage at the plug. Check engine light comes in immediately. Where do I start back tracing to see why its not getting 5 volts? Bad ECU? Fan timer?

Follow the wiring and test at another point?
If you're not getting any voltage at all then the harness is probably junked somewhere or a fuse is blown. There are not a whole lot of reasons it would have no voltage.

Well I found the power to be good at the ecu so i ran a wire straight from there over to the ECT and the problem is solved.

Glad you got it taken care. There's an open in the wire somewhere. It should read "OL" on your Digital Multimeter.
