'99 Accord - which engine?

I have the 4 cyl. engine. I read that there are two I4 engines - 150 hp 2.3 L and a 148 HP 2.3 L.

Please try to use the search feature.

Though to answer your question there are 2 types of 4 cyl. in the 6th gens. The vtec version of the F23a is 150hp and there is an ultra low emission thats probably the 148. Though there is also the non-vtec version which is 135hp.

Try the search feature or look through all of the active threads in this section. It was a thread that had all the engine types clearly stated for every accord for every year and model.

Several replies said "TRY SEARCH". EXACTLY what do I enter in the search as everything I tried either had no match or was unrelated?

Thats because people put horrible topic names that screw up the search feature, though sometimes it works. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emdgust.gif

Ok ez help over here where u from and what model 4 cyl. do u have DX LX or EX ? ..well im gonna Jump ahead and give some answer's DX/LX-135hp
EX-150hp NOTE: all 3 have 2.3 liters.... unlike the 5th gen. they have 2 motors 2.2 not vtec @ 130hp and 2.2. vtec @ 145hp both 2.2 liters

IF U live in California ... u have the ULEL type accord meaning u get less Hp then rest of the (usa)country ..like JDM get more hP and we get less that how cali people feel liek we feel about JDM cars..damm emissons lol https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

DX = 135

LX & EX = 150 VTEC or 148 for ULEV model.
