Default 97 LX bolt-on questions

not seeing a whole lot of bolt-on options for the f22 motor, is an h23 intake manni going to show me any gains? what about the euro-r mani? what is available for this SOHC motor?


ive done some searching just not finding anything.



this car has 389k on the clock and is freshly rebuilt engine/tranny...near as i can tell it hasnt been modded at all electrically.

any info you guys can provide would be much appreciated.

F23 intake manifold and throttle body is the only reliable upgrade for the F22B1 & 2. H23 is too much of a hassle. It requires an adapter plate to mount properly. The Euro-R (H22A) won't work ether.

right on. what about exhaust headers? whats the optimal exhaust diameter?

Exhaust headers? Header. Its not a V8 son.

The EX F22B1 4-2-1 OEM manifold & down pipe or any decent 4-2-1 aftermarket header and a 2.25 cat back would probably do for a basic bolt-on arrangement.
