96 honda accord engine ground locations
I'm having trouble figuring out the ground locations on my 96 accord lx. I cant really make out the drawing in the helms book. I know one of them connects to the intake manifold which i have confirmed. I know one also connects to the body by the passenger side headlight/radiator area. There is one ground wire that comes off the (-) battery terminal. Where does the wire connect to? A picture would do great justice...

I have the same model and my battery only has 2 lines coming off the neg. terminal. The little yellow one that connects to the body and the fat black one that connects down kinda in front of the transmission dip stick.

It would help to know "which" ground location (circuit) you are looking for.......if I had to guess, there are more than 100 ground locations.

On the engine there are a few, in the bay there are a few more. On the engine I cxan think of the one on the power steering bracket, alternator bracket, valve cover and the most important one is the main engine harness ground (G101). That is mounted on the drivers side end of the upper intake manifold. Under one of the bolts on the vacuum "T".

Re: 96 honda accord engine ground locations
I am aware of the "G101" engine harness ground wire which is connected on the intake manifold.
I think i figured it out... the ground locations i was talking about were the battery ground cables, the ones off the negative battery terminal. I think the cable is identified as "G1". One goes to the chassis by passenger side headlight/radiator area and the other one "G1" goes down below on the tranny housing.. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: 96 honda accord engine ground locations
the pic shows "g1" as the ground to the body but there is another cable that im 95% sure goes to the tranny housing but the helms shows differently. When i look at the ground distribution diagram in the service manual it has "g1" as the ground that goes to tranny housing. Do the locations really matter??
