Default 96 Accord LX Driver Side Power Window

The other day I rolled down my driver's side window (cold weather) and rolled it back up. When it got to the top, I heard a loud "pop". I tried to roll it back down and it would only go a couple of inches. Then I tried to roll it back up and it would not go. I removed the door panel and observed that the cables were not where they were supposed to be. Not being familiar with the cable routing, I was activating the window regulator back and forth, tring to see how it worked, and now it's making a nice grinding sound. I'm pretty sure the regulator will have to be replaced ($151.50 from Honda). Is there anywhere on-line where I can get a detailed schematic of how the cables go. The Honda site's schematic is not detailed enough.

I've never seen a diagram of the wire routing anywhere. Usually if the wire has come loose one of the guides has broken. Probably not worth the effort to try to repair it.
While you have the door panel open it is a great time to clean the run channels and soak them with silicone spray, or rub in some Shinitsu grease.

Of course, last night I was trying to work in the dark and could not see everything really well. After my post this morning I peeled back the plastic and took out the window and the regulator assembly. That's when I realized the motor and runner with the cables attached came as one unit. The plastic piece holding one of the cable ends had broken (unrepairable). I called my Honda dealer and they had one in stock. I picked it up this afternoon along with the Shin Etzu grease to lubricate the channels. I installed the regulator assembly and window and lubricated the channels. Seems to be working fine now. Thanks for responding!!

I thought Japan was expensive, regulators are that much here. Did it come with the motor, that would be ok then, cheaper.

Sometimes you have to buy the set but what pisses me off is when the parts guy brings them to me, they are in two seperate boxes with two seperate part numbers on the boxes.
