If you retain the stock Accord rotor you are only going to use about half the pad - which over time I have a feeling is going to be a bad thing. You will end up eating through half of it and cutting a groove into it.

And you just are not capable of using the same bracket with the upgraded caliper with the different rotors.

Ok so your saying if I don't use 11 inch rotors and a 25t bracket I'll have problems, ok I understand that, but I was also wondering about doing the over the hub conversion, do I need to find a set of 11 inch rotors or do we know of any that are? Also its an ex so I already have the bigger mastercylinder, what else would I need to get for this to work on my wagon?

If you do a quick search - probably even in this thread, there is a link to AccordinglyDone where every known brake configuration is listed.

HoR
RoH
NSX, Legend, Prelude calipers
etc

With the rotor over hub already done on my 95 EX, I understand that I need NSX, Legend, or Prelude calipers. Will the V6 accords from 98-2002 rotors be fine?

Hey i found this hub and bearing assembly and am rather confused.... it doesn't really look like hub over rotor.... but i'm new to the honda accord world and was looking at doing the RoH conversion and legend calipers. Figured this would be a nice place to post this if it did end up being useful.

I have a '97 2.2CL with the same hub over rotor front brakes as the 5th gen Accord and I swapped them out for NSX calipers and 11.1" rotors.

The 1st gen 3.0CL has 11.1" rotors. These are the rotors you want to use if you're looking for a direct swap. If you want to keep the original HOR design, use '97 3.0CL rotors. If you want to switch to the rotor over hub design of the '98-'99 CL, use the '98-'99 3.0CL rotors. The 3.0CL uses a 25T caliper bracket, so make sure you pick up a set.

I personally didn't find the ROH conversion necessary. I can changed both front rotors in about 45 mins with a slide hammer and air tools.

You're not going to be able to tell by looking. Especially since the picture may not be the actual part.

If you're seriously considering using aftermarket parts, I'd just tasauto's roh kit and be done with it.

That seems to be the case.

However, unless you really want the sex appeal of the two-piston calipers, the Accord V6 caliper uses the same mounting orientation as stock and the same brake pad as the Legend caliper. No funny bleeding procedure, no leading-trailing piston, just the bigger pad and bigger rotor. Plus you can trade in your existing calipers for the cores at the auto parts store without them raising an eyebrow.

But if one wants real sex appeal for cheap, the 1990 Volvo wagon uses 4-piston calipers and has the same rotor thickness...

*Yes, I know I responded to a necro-bump.

Thanks for the input thing is I already have a set of Legend calipers and brackets and I'd like to use them for my turbo build this spring. I was going to do a 5 lug but decided to stick with 4x114.3 for the fact that a buddy of mine is selling me his drag wheels I just home the wdrag wheels clear the calipers.

Hey, nothing wrong with the biggest brakes that will fit! Just make sure the smaller piston trails. Bleeders will be on the bottom, so you'll have to get used to taking the calipers off and inverting them to bleed, but it's not a whole lot of extra work.
