94 Accord Starter Won't Engage
94 Accord 5 spd with an aftermarket alarm system i haven't used in 2 or 3 years, fuses all good. Turn the key to start car, starter does not engage. If i run a jumper from the starter to the positive battery post the starter cranks the engine over. Tried a know good starter cut relay still the same problem. Anybody have an ideas where else to look?

It's likely the ignition kill portion of the alarm that is failing and preventing the car from starting, especially if the alarm is a Viper. You would need to have the ignition kill wired out of the alarm if it's indeed bad.

If you no longer use the alarm, it should be de-installed.
An unarmed/unused alarm with remote starter or starter disable can prevent you from starting the car. Disabling the alarm is a sure way to get your vehicle disable. Hence, it must be de-installed. Why? your starting wire is like being cut, and each end is connected to the alarm. This is why disabling your alarm is a sure way to get your car disable. Depending on the alarm, there might be a hidden bypass switch that would allow you to start the car in an emergency. A long term solution is still to get the alarm de-installed.

Figured it out! The Clutch Inhibiter switch is bad! When you push the clutch in it doesn't even come close to making contact with the pedal assembly. The pedal stopper pad is missing so i got to replace that. and see if that is the problem or if the actual switch is bad. Got a jumper in the harness for now until i can pickup some pedal stoppers at the dealer. So while i was under the dash i pulled the fuses for the alarm and the relay they had for it and removed the starter signal wire from the alarm wire harness and spliced it back together. Sunday i will remove the rest of the alarm system when i have more time.
