Hows it going everybody, new to the forums i joined. Because i need help with my 94 accord.
i blew up the original engine and bought a new one thinking it was the same and come to find out it aint. So my problem is the new engine had no place for the ckp/tdc sensors inside the timing covers. Ive read about my options on replacing the cover with gears or i can do a rewire and i would rather just go ahead and do the rewire but i cant find any diagrams on a 94 since its not obd2 its a obd1 so not sure what to do any suggestions would be highly appreciated thanks in advance. Engine in vehicle is 2.2 soch non vtec

94/95 don't have timing cover mounted sensors. Those all live in the distributor

if the old original engine didn't have any crank sensors behind the timing cover why would you expect the new engine to ?

The engine that came out had 2 sensors inside the timing cover ckp/tdc.
i dont remember saying the old engine did not have two sensors inside the timing cover because it does.

The "original engine" on these motors has no crank sensor assembly behind the timing covers.

Op are you the first owner of this car or did you purchase it n hand? 1994 and 1995 original engines did not have sensors under the timing cover. As I said before those live in the distributor. 96/97 do and are obd2. 1998-02 f23 also have them under the cover. Please check date code on cylinder head to confirm what engine you have

My mistake car is. A 96 so its obd2 i ordered a 90-95 dizzy and a plug and play harness
