93 Accord Leaking Coolant then Not at All
Hello everyone I was pulling into this place that has one of those ramp style parking lots. Going maybe a little faster than I should have been and hit pretty hard underneath the engine compartment pulling in.
Go to park and notice smoke coming from under the hood, and a slow to fast drip underneath the rear of the engine. So I turn off the motor and top off the coolant, but it didn't lose much. Start it back up and let it idle and there is a slow to no drip, let it idle for 10 minutes and it drips a little faster, but nothing major. Turn it back off for a minute and start it back up and it is not leaking again. I let it sit there and idle for the better part for an hour waiting on the tow truck, with a few drips here and there, but overall no leaks.

Update: Started it this morning, let it get to operating temperature, then drove it for a few minutes, and it was dripping pretty fast. My aunt is bringing me some ramps so I can get a better idea of the location of the leak. It is leaking around the rear of the motor.

It could be the water pipe that runs from the thermostat housing to the water pump. The ends eventually rust out on it.
Could also be a heater hose, iacv hose, fitv hose or a couple other random hoses in the back. If you crack open an old hose, you have to replace it even if it looks good because it WILL spring a leak later if you don't. Some molded hoses can be found at Napa etc; some will need to be bought from Honda. If it's a mild bend, you can get away with cutting a hose to length off a roll.

Ok sounds good I will update tomorrow when I get to get under there. My aunt finally brought the ramps so I can get a better look at it, because it is hard to tell from looking at the top of the engine.

Hello everyone I found the leak and fixed it. It was in a cluster of hoses in the rear. Where the left side of the U-hose and 2 smaller hoses are located. Given the location of them I couldn't exactly tell which one was leaking, so I replaced all 3 of them just to be sure.
Autozone had the U-hose, but they didn't have the other 2 smaller hoses, so they cut 3' of fuel hose and it worked great. Was kind of a pain getting the clamps off the original hoses, those factory clamps suck. All in all about a 8-beer job, nothing too bad.
