Hahaha NZX, - I suppose I did sound odd in that headlining post but let me
put it this way:

Sometimes while driving I feel quite uncomfortable when I come to think of what
condition/milage the timing belt might be in.....Should I be concerned?

If you have no paper work, and there is no sticker under-hood indicating when the belt was replaced, plan on replacing it. If that belt breaks the engine is an interference type, the valves will make contact with the pistons and bend requiring a head rebuild.

If mileage/time unknown, replace belt.

At the very least, pull the valve cover and look at the belt as it sits on the cam and then use a 19mm socket on the crank bolt and turn the crank a full turn looking at the belt. If you want, take pics of the belt(the ribbed side) and show us. You'll want the car in neutral obviously.

It's a lot easier to turn the engine with the spark plugs removed.
