My 16yr old daughter bought this real clean accord LX it had a haunting idle issue so I tightened the down fast idle wax ring and that fixed the Idle issue. So then I cleaned the the IAC it wasn't terribly dirty tough. Also replaced the distributor because it was leaking oil into the cap. Car started great and drove fine for two days. Now the car surges when warm and the RPM.s fluctuate's and theres a loss of power I'm totally at a loss we really like the car, so it would be nice to get it fixed. Any advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

open up the bleeder valve and let the air out

On the top of the thermostat housing where the longer radiator hose attaches at the back passenger side of the engine, there is a bolt that points straight up. Turn on the car and crack that bolt open until it only spews coolant out in a steady stream(no air bubbles come out). Then close it.

pull the spark plug wires off the valve cover and check for any oil leak into the spark plug holes. if you have oil then replace the lower spark plug 0-ring seals. also check for a sticking EGR valve, it will cause poor idle.

how exactly does it fluctuate.....please explain. EXp at idle does it fluxate back and forth between 2500 back down to a 1000??

The RPM's onle bounce when the engine is warm. My daughter says sometimes when she lets off the accelerater pedle it will sometimes wk. The idle would fluxate before i adjusted the FIT valve, once that was done it idles fine.
