9006/9005 to H4/H1 Conversion harness help!! (JDM Headlight wiring)
I bought a used set of JDM Stanley lights last year from a guy stationed in Japan. The only problem is they didn’t come with the light bulb adapter. So, I want to create my own wiring harness. I bought two H4’s and 2 H1’s for the high and low beams.
I assume I’ll need the following to complete the harness.
-2 x H4 adapters (female) to plug into new bulbs
-2 x H1 Adapters (female) to plug into new bulbs
-2 x 9006 Adapters (female) to plug into old 9006 male harness
-2 x 2005 Adapters (female) to plug into old 9005 male harness
(Correct me if I am wrong on these parts.)
Here’s my main concern though. H4 & H1 have 3 terminals and the 9006/9005 only have 2 terminals.
Questions
1) Which wires would connect to which terminal and where does the third wire go?
2) what gauge wire should I buy?
I would order from SUVlights but I need for the weekend and I am pretty sure I can buy the connectors at our local Parts Source/NAPA and Canadian Tire.

I used SUVLights myself for the order.
For the H4 connectors that have 3 points, (if you're looking from behind it where the wires plug in) The left is ground, the top is high beam and right is low beam. I may be reversed on the high/low I can't recall. If you ask gamer4lif he bought my car and could look for you. The H4 is dual-filament which is why you have that extra wire.
The easiest thing (save you money too) is go to Advanced Auto, who sells "performance" H4 wiring adapters for like $5. Should come with all the wires and plugs so you just need to connect the 9006 connector on the end.

I did up the SUVlights order and it came out to $75 not shipped.
As for Advanced Auto, we don't have one, and the search function on their online site doesn't seem to pull up anything.
I bought two of these from Canadian Tire (canadian autoparts store)
Just not sure where the thrid wire will go when I splice into the old harness.
And H1? Is it 2 prong or three?

Let me see if I still have my SUV Lights order in Gmail.
The third wire on the H4 you can either depin, or try to setup your highbeams in that socket (really bright) and do a DRL / yellow beam in the H1. I believe that diagram is on HondaSociety

2 x Headlight sockets (male or female) () = $10.00
Size 9005/HB3
Type Male
2 x Headlight sockets (male or female) () = $10.00
Type Male
Size 9006/HB4
1 x Headlight sockets (male or female) () = $5.00
Type Female
Size H1
That was my exact order, I think my car came with the H4 sockets and one H1.

interesting product.
seems like it would make the process a lot easier.
Anyone ever gave this a shot?
