Transmission Fluid.
I am planning on changing the transmission fluid on my 97 Accord. Once its drained, how many quarts are you suppost to put back in? How much does tranny fluid run a quart from Honda? Thanks

It's about $4.00/quart at the dealer near my home. It should take about 3 quarts, but I would buy 4 just to be sure. If you can find some old quart containers, you can pour the old fluid in them (to measure) then you will know how much to put back in. Good luck

2.8 quarts is what is the 'official' amount, but adding in the extra .2 of a quart won't hurt anything. Dump in 3 quarts and roll it.
